Before you pull used auto parts, follow these 10 tips.

Fox Auto U-Pull in Belleville, Michigan, maintains an extensive inventory of over 1,000 cars. We feature all makes and models and regularly add new inventory, for all of your used auto parts needs.

At Fox Auto U-Pull, we make it easy to find and pull used auto parts. We maintain an extensive inventory of over 1,000 cars, featuring all makes and models. But to get the most out of your U-Pull experience:

1. Check to make sure we have your specific make and model.

You can review our full inventory online before your come to Fox Auto U-Pull, including the newest arrivals.

2. Identify the parts you need.

Knowing everything about the specific parts you need will make them easier to find, and will help you avoid pulling parts you don’t need. Sizes are especially important if you’re looking for tires or wheels.

3. Know the price before you pull the part.

We offer affordable parts with no environmental surcharges, and we limit core charges.

4. If you’re working on a large part like a motor or transmission, know the specs.

This will help us to better direct you to parts that can be interchanged. All our cars are already lifted, to make it easier for you to pull your used auto parts. If you’re pulling an entire motor, you can use our free manual engine hoist. We also offer wheelbarrows at no cost to you.

5. Bring your own tools – and the right ones.

We have a limited supply of tools for rent or purchase, so we recommend that you bring your own. In addition, certain jobs require specialized tools, such as pulling a windshield or parts from some imports. To avoid having to make multiple trips, make sure you have the right tools for the job.

6. Bring the right vehicle for hauling your U-Pull parts.

You probably could fit a used engine in a small hatchback – but we wouldn’t recommend it.

7. Be safe.

Your safety is our top priority. Wear closed-toe shoes or boots, bring a lubricant such as WD-40 to loosen parts and bring a flashlight if you’re working deep inside a vehicle. Also, plan for the conditions. For example, if it’s hot, bring plenty of water.

8. If you need to, bring a friend.

For certain jobs, it can help to have an extra set of hands, especially if you’re pulling a large or heavy part.

9. Allow extra time to complete the job.

We’re open 7 days a week to serve you better, but you’ll want to give yourself enough time before closing. Remember Murphy’s Law. When applied to U-Pull, it means that when you pull used auto parts, it usually takes longer than you think.
